Sino si Teddy Baguilat?

Si Teodoro Brawner Baguilat, Jr., o Teddy, ay anak ng katutubong tribo ng Tuwali at Gaddang mula sa Ifugao at Nueva Vizcaya. Siya ay naging Congressman ng nag-iisang distrito ng Ifugao mula 2010 hanggang 2019, at nanilbihan bilang gobernador ng Ifugao, at alkalde at konsehal ng Kiangan noong 1990. Bukod dito ay nagpanukala siya ng iba’t ibang mga batas para sa pangangalaga ng kalikasan at mga karapatan ng bawa’t Pilipino, gaya ng Freedom of Information at batas sa libreng wi-fi access.Matapos ang tatlong termino sa Kongreso, patuloy na nagtrabaho si Teddy upang kilalanin ang mga pamamaraan ng mga katutubo sa pangangalaga ng kanilang mga teritoryo at ng kalikasan. Ginawa niya ito sa pamamagitan ng Global ICCA Consortium, isang internasyonal na organisasyon na siya ang kasalukuyang pangulo. Naging Executive Director din si Teddy ng ASEAN Parliamentarians for Human Rights, isang samahan ng mga mambabatas na nagtataguyod ng karapatang pantao sa rehiyon.
